Painting the town

The inaugural Thames Paint Out event was a resounding success, with 42 artists taking part.

They spent the day spread out across Thames on February 28, pencils and brushes in hand as they captured the charm and heritage of the town.

Once the paintings were returned to Grahamstown Hall, they were judged and put on display for an exhibition and silent auction. Around 50 people crowded the hall to view the paintings, and many were sold on the day.

Organiser Laurie Spera said she was thrilled with the turnout at the exhibition, the engagement from artists, and the variety of paintings created at the event.
