Strike a pose

People on Pollen St took a moment to pose, promenade and in some instances pirouette for the annual Steampunk the Thames parade on Saturday. This year’s event celebrated 10 years of the popular festival with a theme of ‘Steampunk your own way’. DAVIDDA HIKATANGATA captured the colour.

A flurry of ‘delightful madness’ descended on the town of Thames for the annual Steampunk the Thames Festival held on November 6-9. People from around the country gathered for four days of fun activities, colourful costumes, gears and gadgets. Punters were decked out in style for the theme of ‘Steampunk your own way’. It also marked 10 years since the festival started.
Valley Profile reporter DAVIDDA HIKATANGATA captured some of the clockwork chaos at the parade on Saturday.
