Paeroa Lions are gearing up for their highly anticipated annual fireworks display, promising a night of spectacular entertainment while continuing their 67-year tradition of backing the local community.
“Families can look forward to an action-packed evening featuring free games, amusement rides and a thrilling Halloween costume competition, as well as a wide array of delicious options from local food vendors,” the charity organisation said.
This year, the Lions said they will also be deploying Agriculture Drone Services to capture high-definition video and photographs of the fireworks display, offering a brand-new perspective of the dazzling show.
Beyond the bright lights, the event serves as a major fundraiser for the club’s extensive community work.
“Paeroa Lions have a proud history of giving back, notably helping to sponsor the Lions Cancer Lodge in Hamilton,” they said.
“Closer to home, the club’s annual initiatives touch almost every corner of local life.”
Projects include providing essential school start-up packs for first-years entering school; hosting the highly popular annual book fair; organising the festive Christmas seniors’ afternoon tea; enhancing local infrastructure, such as building the footpath up to Primrose Hill; and dedicating time this year to install identifying name plaques on the trees in Paeroa Domain.
The event has been priced to ensure it remains a budget-friendly night out for everyone, the club said, and it will be a fantastic night of entertainment supporting a club that continuously invests in the heart of the community.
