Art to celebrate, connect

It was a showcase of creativity and talent at the Goldfields School biannual Art Exhibition on September 8. The Paeroa War Memorial Hall was decked out in art work created by students and was a celebration of student achievement. It provided an opportunity for whānau and the wider community to connect with and appreciate the work of the school’s learners. A performance by the Goldfields School Kapa Haka group kicked off the event and was valuable preparation for the upcoming Specialist Schools Kapa Haka Festival, which will be held at the Don Rowlands Centre in Karapiro this week.
