The Little Things comes to The Profile

This week marks the launch of the popular New Zealand cartoon on the highs and lows of parenting, The Little Things, in The Valley Profile.
Written by Matt Lawrey and drawn by Peter Lole, The Little Things was launched in 2010 and has been published in newspapers across the country and in Australia and the United Kingdom.
The cartoon was inspired by Matt and his wife Tania’s parenting experiences.
“In the early days, writing The Little Things was really a form of self-therapy,” Matt jokes.
“We initially thought it would appeal to parents of little kids but soon discovered that grandparents really enjoyed it too. It also struck a chord with kids who enjoyed seeing things through their parents’ eyes.”
Matt says he’s thrilled to see The Little Things appearing in The Valley Profile. “After 13 years in print, we’ve got a lot of cartoons to share, and we really hope the readers enjoy them.”
