The Kauaeranga Hall Country Fair set to take place on February 18 to raise funds to improve its facilities has been postponed until February 25.
Organiser Peter Revell said while the weather was shaping to be ideal on February 18, the Kauaeranga Valley was experiencing power outages after Cyclone Gabrielle.
“This means the ovens, fridges and freezers have been out of action, and there is no certainty that there will be power in the hall on [February 18],” he said.
So, now on [February 25] the Fair will be going ahead, get this date in your diary.”
Mr Revell said all donated goods were being held until the rescheduled event which will take place between 11am and 2pm.
