The MetService is warning of more stormy weather for the Coromandel.
The as-yet-unnamed tropical cyclone is tracking towards New Zealand and is forecast to hit our shores on Sunday night.
The northern parts of the country will likely be impacted by gale force winds, heavy rain and large waves from Sunday through until Tuesday or Wednesday next week, MetService said.
