People from all walks of life showed out in droves for Whānau Day Out at the Waihī Memorial Hall on July 2. The event, run by Te Korowai Hauora O Hauraki in collaboration with Hauraki District Council, focussed on connection, wellbeing and fun for every whānau. The hall was filled with adults, tamariki and stalls from local health providers, social services and community groups. There were spot prizes and activities for tamariki to enjoy, a free sausage sizzle and plenty of opportunities to connect with people from the community. Reporter DAVIDDA HIKATANGATA snapped some of the wholesome activities.
