ADVERTORIAL
The number one thing the new owners of Paeroa Fresh Fruit and Vege Shop want people to know is they are ready to serve the community with the freshest produce around: “That’s our motive – fresh food for the community”.
Owners and brothers Harjot and Harkirat Singh kicked off their tenure on June 19 and told The Profile things started off on a good foot with lots of support from people in the community so far.
“We are liking it very much to be honest. The customers and the community, the local people coming here are very happy with our efforts.”
With repeat customers already, the Singh brothers said they aimed to match the enthusiasm and support with the quality and pricing of their products.
But they also want customers to know, if there’s a product people want but it isn’t currently stocked – they’ll do their best to source it, customers just need to have a chat with them.
“We’re trying to break the monopoly that’s here in town with the supermarkets.” But fresh fruit and veggies aren’t the only things on the shelves.
The store is a one-stop shop for other goods too from herbs, spices, cereals, canned foods, snacks and confectionery to personal care, spreads, hot pies, drinks, and soon takeaway coffee.
If customers need to have their groceries delivered, that’s another option to talk to Harjot and Harkirat about too.
Something the community can look forward to is a free community barbecue breakfast put on by Paeroa Fresh Fruit and Vege Shop from 10am on July 10 outside the store.
“Anybody can come. There’ll be bacon and sausages, so come down for a bite.”
