Farming families from across Hauraki gathered on October 22 to participate in the much-loved spring tradition of Calf Club Group Day.
At the Hugh Howard Domain in Ngatea, students from Hauraki Plains primary schools gathered with their pet lambs, goats, and calves. The animals were brushed and groomed in preparation for their turn around the judge’s ring.
Meanwhile, Waihī East School played host to students and animals from across the wider Waihī district. Families watched as the children led their animals through their paces in the ring, and judges commended their animal husbandry skills.
