The Hauraki Tigers left everything out on the field in their clash against Rangiriri Storm on August 2 at the Huntly Rugby Club grounds for the Waikato Rugby League Women’s Championship Semi-final.
“Our 2026 season has come to an end following today’s semi-final defeat to Rangiriri Storm, 34-4,” the Hauraki Tigers said.
“While today’s result wasn’t what we hoped for, it doesn’t define this group. This team has represented our club with pride, resilience and determination all season long,” they said. “From pre-season through to earning a place among the competition’s final four, these wāhine have worn the black and gold with passion and heart every time they took the field.” Reporter DAVIDDA HIKATANGATA captured the power and passion in their final hoorah for the season.
