Nothing can stop Rylee Sayer.
The swimmer from Hauraki Plains College competed at the New Zealand Swimming Championships in May, where she was named the Domestic and Emerging Para Swimmer of the Year for 2025.
The award-winner also snapped up four qualifying times for the Para Pan Pacific Swimming Championships with a gold medal in the 100m Butterfly and 50m freestyle, silver in the 50m butterfly and 4th place in the 100m freestyle.
Following her achievements at the NZ Swimming Champs, Rylee zoomed to Japan for the Para World Series as part of the New Zealand Swimming Team and blew even more achievements out of the water. The aquatic athlete continued her streak and won youth gold in the 400m freestyle and silver medals in the 100m breaststroke and 50m freestyle.
