The Thames Antiques and Collectibles Show, held on March 21 at the Thames Civic Centre, was a cornucopia of treasures from many eras, countries, and styles. Exhibitors travelled from as far afield as Nelson, Taranaki, and even Australia to attend. The winning display was a sea-themed pirate ship overflowing with treasures, curated by Eleanor and Jonathon Lee. A glowing display of uranium glass won the People’s Choice award. The sales tables were also a huge hit, with sellers running a steady trade throughout the day.
