The Ngatea Lions 2026 Free Family Fun Day was a stellar success, with people of all ages gathering at the Hauraki Plains College fields on March 8 to enjoy some fun.
There were all sorts of activities on offer, from bouncy castles, pony rides, family races, and facepainting, to joyrides on all sorts of vehicles including a fire truck and a “magic carpet”. There was also plenty to eat, with free sausage sizzle, popcorn, candy floss, and slushies.
The event wound up with the popular foam cannon and slip n slide, managed by the fire brigade.
“Everything is free thanks to the huge generosity of all our local sponsors,” the Lions Club said.
“[We] would love to thank the local businesses and organisations who make this day possible.”
