A focus on customer care

For around 60 years, Wenzlick Automotive has looked after its customers and their mechanical needs in the Thames Valley and Coromandel Peninsula.
One very significant element to the business is that it currently involves three generations: Bernard Wenzlick, who started the automotive outfit with a business partner and later took full ownership, son Shane Wenzlick, who later also bought into the business, and Shane’s son, Brad Wenzlick.
Shane said they had a good team who looked after mechanical repairs and maintenance, servicing and warrant of fitnesses, and specialised in the Nissan product.
“I enjoy the hands-on part of it for me in the workshop, even though I seem to have to spend more and more time in the office these days, which is all part of it, but I do enjoy that, just the hands-on work and the variety of work that we get here,” he said.
“We work on a lot of older cars, sort of classic cars, you know, people’s pride and joy sort of thing, as well as we do a lot of modern stuff.” The main point though was the people they served.
“The customers for us are the most important thing, so to make it work for them is what it’s all about. That’s what we try to do.”
