Help tell the Victoria Battery story

ADVERTISING FEATURE
The Victoria Battery Tramway Society applauds and thanks our volunteers who weave the stories and bring the history of the Victoria Battery Site alive for visitors to enjoy and learn about the significant part that this site in Waikino played in the processing of quartz to find the gold hidden from sight.
Our volunteers work together at the site so visitors can discover the history in a way that suits them.
Visitors can explore our museum, board our tram which weaves throughout the site or head on underground to get a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
The stories, photographs and knowledge of the Victoria Battery site are incredibly special and unique, so recording and preserving them for years to come is critical.
We are in a changing world that relies on social media and the use of digital and online systems.
We also need digital volunteers to help achieve this. People with skills in communication, social media and digital technology who can help record and transform the stories and history so it can be there to share. If volunteering by driving a tram, showing people around the museum, and taking people underground is not for you, consider becoming a digital volunteer.
DETAILS: If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, email info@vbts.org.nz.
