Emergency services are responding to a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 2, Karangahake this afternoon.
Police were called at around 2.45pm on September 13.
Indications are there have been serious injuries, Police said.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place.
Motorists are advised to expect significant delays between Waihi and Paeroa.
Police said enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are underway.
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency said the road was closed until further notice due to the crash, which was just north of Rahu Rd, Mackaytown.
Waka Kotahi advices motorists to delay their journey or consider alternative route.
