The annual Pumpkin Festival was held at Turua School on April 1. There was pony riding, face painting, raffles, food, and of course the highlight of the day, the giant pumpkin weigh-in, with the winning pumpkin weighing in at 92.5kg. Other competitions included best decorated vegetable, and best decorated gumboots.
