Six new citizens were welcomed to the Hauraki District at a citizenship ceremony on February 11. The newly-minted New Zealanders hail from around the district - two from Ngātea, two from Turua, one from Waihī and one from Paeroa. There was a range of countries represented in the ceremony, with the new citizens coming from England, United Kingdom, South Africa and India.
