Wearable whimsy

It was a display of vibrancy, resourcefulness and ingenuity at the Hikutaia School hall last month. Students were decked out in handmade outfits and strutted their stuff for the Wearable Art Show dress rehearsal, and once again later that evening for the real deal showcase for friends and family. The school hall was set up with a runway, lighting and a big screen to show the audience some of the finer details and stories behind each work of art. Reporter DAVIDDA HIKATANGATA snapped the fashionistas showing off their clever designs.
