GOLDEN YEARS ADVERTISING FEATURE
Staying independent, active and connected is important at every stage of life. But when driving becomes difficult, getting out and about can become a challenge.
That’s where Driving Miss Daisy can make a real difference.
Driving Miss Daisy is more than a transport service. Our friendly, trained drivers provide companion driving, supporting passengers from their home or facility, into the vehicle and safely to their destination.
Whether it’s a medical appointment, shopping trip, visiting friends, attending an activity or simply getting out for the day, we’re there to make the journey easier and more enjoyable.
For eligible passengers, the Total Mobility Scheme can also make getting around more affordable.
Total Mobility provides a 65 per cent subsidy towards transport for people who are no longer able to drive and who are unable to use public transport safely or easily.
Driving Miss Daisy is an approved Total Mobility provider. For many people, this support can help make regular outings and essential appointments more affordable, while providing the reassurance of a trusted companion along the way.
And it’s about much more than getting from A to B.
It’s about helping people maintain their independence, stay connected with family and friends, continue doing the things they enjoy and remain part of their community.
For families and carers, it also provides peace of mind knowing their loved one is supported throughout their journey.
Stay independent. Stay connected. Keep doing the things that matter to you.
Talk to your local Waihī-Katikati Driving Miss Daisy to find out more about our service and whether you may be eligible for Total Mobility assistance.
