Around 120 people turned up in cheerful yellow for the annual Daffodil Day Luncheon at the Paeroa RSA on August 24. The event was filled with socialising, spot prizes, raffles and more, all fuelled by a tasty high tea-style spread.
Organising committee member Elaine Lally was pleased with the turn out and with the group’s fundraising efforts – although the final count won’t be tallied until later in the week, she confirmed they had raised at least $1165 from sales of fresh daffodils alone.
