THE FINAL FAREWELL ADVERTISING FEATURE
September is Wills Month, a chance to protect the people you care about and leave a legacy that reflects what matters most to you. For Allan, updating his will was about more than planning for the future.
It was an opportunity to support a service that has made a lasting difference in his life.
Every day, thousands of people across Aotearoa New Zealand rely on Hato Hone St John. Whether it’s an ambulance responding in an emergency, a Medical Alarm providing reassurance, a Waka Ora Health Shuttle helping someone get to a vital appointment, or a young person building confidence through the St John Youth programme, these services touch lives in communities large and small across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Having experienced several serious health emergencies over the years, Allan knows just how important that support can be.
“They gave me my life back.
“I want to give others the same chance,” he says.
As a former Hato Hone St John volunteer, Allan has also seen firsthand the trust, integrity, professionalism, and compassion of the people behind the uniform.
“My legacy is for the service that saved me. I want to make sure the ambulance is there for the next person who needs it.”
A gift in your will, no matter the size, can help ensure Hato Hone St John continues to be there for future generations when they need it most.
To help more New Zealanders create or update their will, St John is offering a free online will-writing service during Wills Month.
