Best care, service at The Eye Place

ADVERTISING FEATURE
It’s been a little more than one year since owners and optometrists Ricky Ping Eu Lee and Solinna Toul have been at the helm of The Eye Place.
The eye-care professionals took over the reins of the business, previously known as O’Hagan Vision Care, when Peter and Heather O’Hagan retired from their roles as owners and optometrists in 2025 after many years of dedicated service to Paeroa and the surrounding community.
Since their fresh start a year ago and under the new name – The Eye Place, new owner Ricky told The Profile it felt like “such a privilege” to see how welcomed they were by the community.
“We have seen patients from all parts of the community, from two-months old to over 100 years old.”
The team of optometrists Ricky, Solinna and Martin van der Most cover four practices across the Hauraki-Coromandel in Paeroa, Te Aroha, Waihī and Whangamatā.
Ricky understood the changeover could be a difficult thing to process for some people as they were clients of Peter and Heather for more than 40 years, he said.
Rest assured, they planned to continue to offer the best care, advice and service to all their clients, as well as maintain the values established by Peter and Heather over the years.

They would also keep up to date with the latest technology developments.
The Eye Place was well-equipped with diagnostic technology to detect eye conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, he said.
Good eye care isn’t just about seeing clearly today, it’s about taking care of one’s vision for the years ahead. The team at The Eye Place is ready to help people feel confident in the way they see the world.
