Here’s some helpful information about Hauraki District Council services.
RATES REBATE
Check your eligibility online to see if you qualify for a rates rebate of up to $805.
If you do, make sure you apply every year by June 30 (they are not automatically renewed).
Apply online or through your local council.
LIMITED MOBILITY?
If you have limited mobility, you can apply for our Assisted Kerbside Collection service.
For $60 a year, the contractor will fetch all bins from your property and return them to the same spot on each collection day.
HOUSING FOR THE ELDERLY
Hauraki District Council owns and operates pensioner flats in Paeroa, Waihī and Ngātea.
Demand can be high so it pays to get on the waiting list early. Eligibility criteria apply.

SWIMMING SEASON
Aged 65+? Swim for 90 minutes for $2 (usually $3), Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 9:00am.
